Wasabi Ramen and Izakaya Foodie Page

WELCOME TO WASABI RAMEN & IZAKAYA’S FOODIE PAGE

We are excited about Ramen at Wasabi Izakaya!

One of our staff favourite menu items, Ramen (ラーメン) is a very popular noodle soup dish that is high in the running for national dish of Japan and can also be found in high-end restaurants in major cities around the world.

Ramen is our Passion

Chef Jyunya puts his heart and soul into his Ramen and you will find him making noodles by hand every morning and watching over his boiling stock pots for hours and hours as he perfects the umami flavours of his broths. He would love you to come in and experience his REAL handmade ramen at Wasabi Izakaya as he works hard on perfecting his recipes daily.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Cold Chasu in bowl at Wasabi Ramen in Kelowna

WHY IS MY CHASHU COLD?

Your Chashu and soft boiled egg are carefully cooked to perfection and then stored in the fridge for safekeeping.

To warm them up, simply push them under your hot ramen broth before eating!

Slurp your noodles at Wasabi Ramen and Izakaya

slurp your noodles!

Handmade ramen noodles are best eaten as quickly as possible so they keep their fresh taste and texture.

Serious ramen chefs say that perfect noodles will only last five minutes, so it is your duty to start eating as soon as the bowl is delivered and not stop until you are finished!

It is very typical to hear wild slurping in a typical Japanese ramen shop. The slurping enhances the flavors and helps cool down the piping hot noodles as they enter your mouth. It is also fine to lift up the bowl to drink the soup directly from the bowl.

WHERE'S THE SUSHI ?

Every Japanese restaurant in Kelowna offers sushi on their menu. We decided to be uniques and focus all of our energy on serving the best ramen in town.

We have so many ramen fans now, we are happy we made the switch. We still offer other izakaya dishes for those strange people who don’t love ramen 😉
